Jonte looked at her. “Don’t start with me, and where you coming from dressed up?” he asked. The nigga was in the hospital for being shot at, broke up with her and said he was moving out, but was worried about her whereabouts.
“Does it matter?” she asked, coming out of her pumps. Her feet were hurting so bad.
“Why are you here then?” he asked.
“Because I wanna be here when your new bitch comes back. Let me see if she was worth you leaving your family. You know that seems to be a routine round these parts,” she said.
Jonte ignored her. Farren was hurting behind some shit that wasn’t even true.
“Go home,” he told her.
“Why? She must be ugly,” Farren laughed.
“You doing entirely too much, ma,” he told her.
“Oh, I haven’t done enough, let you tell it.”
“You making my head hurt.” He rubbed his forehead.
Farren wanted to punch him so bad, but he was in pain and she knew recovering or not, Jonte would fuck her up.
“This is how this about to go. You’re coming home with me. I will be home for a while. We are going to work on our relationship, because ain’t no breaks or moving out. We in this together forever; seems like you have forgotten, so I’m here to remind you. Whatever you doing in the streets needs to be wrapped up and nipped in the bud. If Mari needs her money we will give her money, but she also needs to get some hustle about her. She’s grown with four children. Even though we can afford to take care of her children and her, we will not. She has to learn how to provide for herself and her children” she stated.
Jonte’s dick was getting hard as a brick the more he watched Farren pace the floor and lay down the law. He was listening to every single thing she said and he agreed with her, too. Jonte was on his third strike, and he couldn’t be risking his freedom for others. He had children to see about and a woman that loved every single thing about him.
“Okay ma,” he told her.
Farren turned around and looked at him.
“Okay?” she asked to be sure.
He nodded. “You right.”
“I know I’m right and…” Jonte cut her off. “Shut up and bring that ass here,” he commanded.
Farren walked over to him slowly and kissed his lips.
‘”Hmm,” Jonte moaned.
“That ass looks so fat in that skirt,” he whispered in her ear. Farren giggled and kissed his lips once more.
“Once you’re better, I need you to go to see Christian with me,” she told him.
Jonte pulled back. “For what?’ he asked.
Farren went and got the letter from her purse and handed it to him.
After he read it, he asked, “How did you get this?”
“Kennedy, my niece, well his niece,” she told him.
“What the fuck he want?” he asked. Jonte didn’t fuck with Christian at all. He blamed him for Carren’s death.
“I don’t know, but it’s been some gossip that at the Roundtable meeting this summer that they might vote to let him out,” she told him.
